The KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation along with The Sunshine Kids, an organization that offers a variety of programs for children that are battling cancer, sponsored an event Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago on Tuesday, September 1 to help kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. More than 40 children and family members attended, and were invited create a personal Build-a-Bear, decorate Sprinkles cupcakes and enjoy a gourmet pasta bar lunch. Our Winnetka office, located at 538 Chestnut, is collecting books for two different organizations now through August 17th. New books will be accepted for Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago and new and gently used books, games and art supplies will be collected for Haven Youth and Family Services in Wilmette. While everyone is familiar with the great work Lurie Children’s does, you might not be familiar with Haven Youth and Family Services. They foster the mental health of youth and their families in the community through prevention, intervention and therapy programs. They are committed to supporting youth 24-hours a day to skillfully navigate through adolescence. Consider donating today!
