The KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation sponsored The Sunshine Kids Cubs outing. Thirteen lucky Sunshine Kids along with their parent parents, went to Wrigley Field to see the Cubs vs. the Reds. It was a day to enjoy fun in the sun and so much more. The morning started out with the Sunshine Kids and volunteers walking the field and getting to take photos by home plate before the game. Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Jason Motte came out to speak with the kids and sign autographs for each and every one of them. The kids then headed to a suite to watch the game and enjoy hot dogs, quesadillas, popcorn, and a special dessert cart where they got to choose from a number of desserts, including sundaes with their choice of toppings. Wrigley Field said that they set a record for most number of sundaes ordered in one suite at 13 sundaes, an impressive start for the first series of Sunshine Kids events in Chicago!
